GARDEN, ACTIVITIES AND SIGHTSEEING

Apart from the garden and the swimming pool for your pleasure, the countryside offers many opportunities for different activities.

For golf lovers the country club “L’Ugolino” is only 20 minutes away and is one of the most prestigious golf courses in Italy. There are many more clubs within a two hour car ride such as Castefalfi, Poggio Medici Mugello, Punta Ala, Monsummano, le Pavoniere Prato.
Also within a couple of hours car ride, you can find some of the best beaches and seaside villages such as Forte dei Marmi, Viareggio, Porto S. Stefano and Porto Ercole.
It is possible to do trekking with a guide or a mountain bikes and mopeds are available for rent in the village.

Painting and drawing lessons with local artists can also be organized. In the mainsquare the artist Carmine Errichiello has his studio with his wonderful paintings.
Guided tours can be organized at local wine producers with tasting of some of the best wines of the area; recommended is a new very special service “Chianti-Tasting” which consists of a private tasting in your own house with selected wines chosen by and explained by a sommelier. If interested in learning the typical Tuscan cuisine, cooking lessons can be organized.

If interested in horseback riding, a riding ring (Vecchio Texas) is located 20 minutes away in the direction of Figline Valdarno.

Shopping lovers can go to either Florence or Siena or to some of the best nearby outlets such as “The Mall” (Gucci Armani, Tod’s ect.), “Space” (Prada) and “Barberino Design Outlets “ (Max Mara).
Shoes and leather products can be made to order in the leather factory in Panzano. Ceramics and terracotta products are also available made to order. In Panzano and the surrounding area, there are many shops to buy wines, the famous “La Fiorentina” beef steak, sausage products, cantuccini, Vin Santo, goat and sheep cheese.

-Sunday Morning: weekly market in the square of Panzano.
-First Sunday of each month, artisan market in streets of Panzano.
-Saturday Morning: weekly market in the square of Greve.
-25 of April: historical holiday with procession thru the village of Panzano
-16 of August: SS. Annunziata religious holiday of the patron of Panzano
-Third weekend of September: “Vino al Vino” yearly wine festival of the wine producers of Panzano with tasting of the best wines produced in the area.
